A new business has opened in town that has brought new interest and excitement to the gateway community of Packwood, WA. The Hancock Gallery & Café is now open for business. Dick Hancock, a professional wildlife and nature photographer for over 25 years, decided to open his gallery in the same area his career began – Mt Rainier. His work is offered in large format, often life-sized, on canvas. His wife, Gloria Hancock, offers original paintings at the gallery. Her subjects are often inspired by her husband’s photography but she is masterful with portraitures of people and pets. The gallery has an associated café serving classic American fare and gourmet desserts. The Hancock Gallery & Café has become a destination location. Tourists and locals alike are helping to stimulate the local economy of Packwood by visiting the Hancock Gallery & Café and other businesses in the area.
