Seattle Tourist Attractions

Seattle is a wondrous city with numerous attractions and points of interest. Vacationing in Seattle can keep one busy from dawn to dusk if desired. Among the most popular attractions and places to visit are:

Seattle’s Chinatown: Experience multiple exotic Asian cultures just minutes from downtown. Take a professionally guided tour, or take a walking tour on your own and enjoy savory oriental cuisine after a day of browsing through myriad shops featuring the arts and crafts, gifts and clothing of China, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Korea and Cambodia. In fact, Seattle’s so-called Chinatown is the only community in the continental U.S. to contain such a diversity of Asian cultures. Truly a unique place to visit and enjoy.

The Space Needle: What would a trip to Seattle be without a visit to this town’s most famous and prominent landmark? Located at 400 Broad Street, in the very heart of Seattle, the Space Needle’s observation deck, some 520 feet above the city streets, offers magnificent 360o panoramic views of snow covered Mount Ranier, the majestic Cascade Mountain Range, sparkling Lake Union, the ships crossing Elliot Bay, and more. Tillicum Indian Village: For the Seattle visitor who would like a tourist’s experience that differs from the usual, a visit to the Tillicum Village North West Native American Cultural Center will no doubt prove memorable.

The tour begins with an invigorating eight mile cruise across Puget Sound to the Tillicum ancestral camping grounds on heavily forested Blake Island. Visitors are guided through an informative tour of the village and then treated to the beautifully staged “Dance on the Wind” stage show which features a combination of traditional village songs and dances. After the show, a feast of baked salmon, slow cooked over open wood fires the Native American way, provides an unforgettable taste treat.
